Drone/UAV Building Workshop

From building drones to teaching how they fly — at IIT Guwahati.
Recently, I had the opportunity to conduct a hands-on workshop on Drone/UAV Building at IIT Guwahati, and it turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience.
What made this workshop particularly special was the diversity in the room — Army professionals, Working professionals, College students, and enthusiastic learners, all coming together with one thing in common: curiosity about drones and UAV technology.
Rather than keeping the session limited to slides and theory, we went into the actual engineering behind drones — understanding components, propellers, flight dynamics, control, and the practical aspects of building and operating UAVs.
The best part? Seeing people actively engage, ask questions, examine the hardware, and genuinely enjoy the session. The appreciation and feedback I received afterward made the experience even more memorable.
There is something deeply satisfying about taking what you have learned through building and experimentation and being able to demonstrate it in a way that makes technology exciting for someone else.
Grateful to have had the opportunity to share my knowledge at IIT Guwahati and interact with such a diverse and enthusiastic audience.
And yes… holding up a drone in front of a packed lecture hall felt pretty cool too. 😄
Onwards and upwards.
